Welcome to the Rock and Roll Circus! On the 11th of December 1968 the Rolling Stones put together this live spectacular event starring themselves and a who’s who of psychedelic style royalty. Joined by the likes of The Who, Taj Mahal, Marianne Faithfull, Jethro Tull, John Lennon and his fiancee Yoko Ono, and Eric Clapton.
We bring you the smallest taste today of this extravaganza starring who better than the Stones themselves. Enjoy ‘You can’t always get what you want’ by the boys. Thanks 2 Albert01824 for the video.
“When I was a kid I joined the circus. I did that. It is true. But it’s not like you think. There was a guy, he had his own circus. His name was Carol Jacobs and he owned it. It was a small thing.”
Christopher Walken
Is this the sort of Circus you might want to run away with??
