An abandoned theme park based off of Frank L. Baum’s classic ‘Wizard of Oz’ will re-open its doors between October 5th and 6th to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of “Autumn at Oz”; a once a year reunion for past employees of the now derelict park in North Carolina.
‘The Land of Oz‘ opened its doors in 1970, and allowed guests to trot down the yellow brick road, take a balloon ride, and meet the Wicked Witch of the West, but by 1980 the park closed its doors, leaving the magical land of Oz to succumb to the wilderness.
Last year over 8,000 people attended the reunion, so be sure to check it out if you’re in the area this weekend!
