Written by Adele and her producer Paul Epworth ( “Rolling in the Deep”, Florence & the Machine) – check out the latest bond theme from the franchise’s latest film Skyfall , set to release October 22.

By far one of the greatest Bond songs in recent years, the song harks back to the glory days of the Bond legacy. Recorded at the famous Abbey Road Studios with a 77 piece orchestra, Adele’s command on the song’s epic lyrics bring this latest theme to heights of glory that Bond themes have not reached since decades past.

Paul McCartney, Nancy Sinatra, and of course, Dame Shirley Bassey have all left their magic music marker on the 007 brand, and with “Skyfall”, Adele manages to stand triumphant amongst these legendary greats. No surprise there, really.

The single has already reached Number 1 in the UK, and Number 2 in Canada on iTunes since it’s release at 0:07 this morning. So if you haven’t been able to take a listen, check it out now.

  1. What was the first thing I did yesterday when I got up?….Download this great song and have a cup of coffee. Adele was a brilliant choice and she does indeed hit the grand sweeping notes with a dark dangerous edge that is so essential for a great Bond song.

  2. Love Adele and I love this song. I am listening to it right now. Driving from the work on Friday, a radio station was playing it; and I just listened in awe to her beautiful voice and medley. Wow!
